Introduction
South Woodham Ferrers United FC is thrilled to introduce our inaugural Women’s Football team this season. Formed from the success of our Girls Football program, which has now transitioned into adult age groups, our Women’s team will compete in the Essex County Women’s League. This marks a significant milestone in our club’s development.
Our Women’s Team
Our Women’s team features a talented roster of players who have progressed from our youth system to compete at an adult level. They will take on the challenges of the Essex County Women’s League, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and dedication to the game.
Training and Matches
- Mid-Week Training: To support our Women’s team, we hold training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. These sessions are led by experienced coaches and focus on developing skills, improving tactics, and enhancing team cohesion.
- Saturday Matches: The Women’s team plays their league matches on Saturdays. These games offer an opportunity for players to put their training into practice and compete in a structured and competitive environment.
Pathway from Youth to Women’s Football
The creation of our Women’s team represents a successful transition from our Girls Football program. We are proud to provide a clear pathway for players moving from youth teams into adult football, ensuring continued growth and development as they progress through the ranks.
