Youth Manager of the Year.
Rob Debell (U16 Wolves)
Keith Glynn (U12 Wanderers)
Derek Markey (U13 Dynamos)

Winner – Rob Debell. Rob took charge of an already successful Warriors team and has enhanced and improved on their already impressive results. The season saw the team just miss out on the League title, but were rewarded with promotion as runners up. An excellent season! Rob makes running his team look easy and goes about it without the other managers knowing!

Youth Team of the Year.
U15 Wanderers.
U12 Wanderers.
U16 Hawks.

Winner – U16 Hawks. The Hawks found themselves in an extremely competitive league this year, with some tough physical games to contest. Lee and the boys experienced the disappointment of losing a cup final late in the season, but bounced back with a winning attitude and determination, to secure the League Title on the last day of the season – in front of a record crowd at Compass Gardens!

Adult Section

Adult Team Manager of the Year.
Tony Grisedale (Men’s Sceptre League)
Paul Bowers (Men’s Pope & Smith League)
Tom Ketland (Men’s 1st Mid Essex League)

Winner – Tony Grisedale. Tony has seen his team grow from boys to men, having been involved throughout their youth careers. He has developed his squad to have a great team spirit and ensures it is maintained to a high standard. His team finished third in the League, while enduring a run of extremely tight results. Tony has achieved this whilst holding the position of our Joint Treasurer this season.

Adult Team of the Year.
Men’s Sceptre League.
Pope and Smith League.
Chelmsford Invitation League.

Winner – Pope & Smith. This team have enjoyed a great first season with SWFU, narrowly missing out on our first senior Cup Final. The team’s results consistently improved throughout the season and ended with a well-deserved ‘League Runners Up’ trophy and promotion to Division Two.

Club Achievement Awards.

Young Persons Award.
Nathan Warren.
Charles Thompson.
Callum Crouch.

Winner – Charles Thompson. Charles has been a leader in his team since a very young age, and still points out what his manager should be doing today. Charles has also been helping with coaching our youngsters at the Development Squad and was a real help to the Club at this years ‘Presentation Day’.

Clubman of the Year.
Manny Cross (U11 Eagles & Committee)
Mark Smith (U7 Reds)
Ray Chettur (Men’s Sceptre League & Committee)

Winner – Mark Smith. Mark has experienced a ‘baptism of fire’ in his first full season with the Club; having to step into the role of Team Manager and Coach, following Martin’s departure. Mark is welcoming to all players and will literally take anyone into his training sessions. Mark also displayed his outstanding commitment to the Club’s Presentation Day – setting up, clearing up and helping to run the day. He even brought his wife, mum and family along, to help provide refreshments on the day.

A vote of thanks was also given to Darren Thompson, Chris Firminger, Manny Cross, Ray Chettur and the Committee for their tireless commitment this year.

Finally, a BIG thank you to all our team’s parents, families and supporters. Our players love their football! But they could not enjoy it without your support!

Thank you.
