Safe Restart for Training & Matches

In line with government guidelines we are updating you on the long anticipated return to football this week, which sees us back for both training and matches.

The club is excited to welcome the return of football. We are aware this will be welcomed by many of the players within the club. There may be some of you who are apprehensive about the return so we urge you to speak to your team coach. They have been fully briefed as to the new guidelines and what the club have done to ensure there is a safe return to football.

Football will be very similar to what is was before lockdown.

As a club we have updated our risk assessments. Please see links below

For players to return, consent MUST be given please click the link and complete the form https://zfrmz.com/HQTqyPQUpemw5LfeY6ih without this consent players will not be able to participate. Players must arrive ready to play in full kit, they must also have their own personalised drinks bottle and hand sanitiser.

Spectators, Teams U18 and below may have ONE Spectator for matches/training. They are there for safeguarding purposes. At present the guidance from the FA prohibits any other spectators, although this is very disappointing it must be followed. This will change from the 12th April, spectators will be allowed as long as they are strictly socially distanced and listen to their coaches as to where to stand.

In line with current Government guidance, all participants (players, coaches, club and match officials, volunteers, spectators etc.) should check for symptoms of Covid-19.

If an individual is symptomatic and/or living in a household with a possible Covid-19 infection they should remain at home and follow Government guidance. In addition, any participants who have been asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace because they are a contact of a known Covid-19 case, must not exercise outside their home or garden and must not exercise with others.

Once again if you have any questions or queries please contact your team’s coach. After a very tricky winter, there will be no better sight than the players out there playing the beautiful game of football.

In line with this return, monthly subs will recommence from 1st April and run through to the summer as we return to normal.

Thank you all as always for your fantastic support
